Physical poses (asanas) are combined with breathing exercises (pranayama) in an effort to increase awareness. By intensifying this connection between breath and movement, joints gain more freedom to move, the body reclaims lost energy, and the mind becomes more relaxed and focused. All levels of experience welcome.

About Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga classes incorporate gentle postures, breathing techniques, and meditation with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. These basic classes are a good place to learn beginner’s poses, relaxation techniques, and to become comfortable with yoga. With the hundreds of variations to the nearly 200 poses Hatha yoga offers, it is the perfect practice for all, regardless of ability or mobility.
